As you know the issues of sexual abuse and harassment have been in the media over the last several months. Many suffer in silence from the trauma of sexual assault. Thousands of women are now speaking out with the hashtag #metoo.
Sexual abuse is a silent epidemic causing pain and shame to millions. We are finally addressing this issue, because we have the tools to heal and change how we —- women and men —- relate to each other.
John Freedom is working with a nonprofit called FREA: Finding Recovery and Empowerment from Abuse and has shared this great resource to pass along.
FREA’s mission is to support, educate and empower people to free themselves from the effects of sexual abuse.
On their website you will find resources — articles, videos, testimonials, and simple and effective self-care techniques for emotional first aid. We know that survivors of abuse are resilient, and given effective tools, information and support can begin to heal themselves.

Also, April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and we are blogging every day to bring attention to this important issue.
