Have you ever had the experience where life just seems too much to handle? Where it seems like you’re sailing a boat in waves that are far too big for it to navigate? The threat of capsizing is real.
This is the experience that your therapy/coaching client is having. They are journeying through life’s waters in a vessel that doesn’t have enough capacity to easily ride the intensity of waves that life is bringing them.
Does healing mean exposing them back to earlier events where they were capsized by waves of greater intensity than they could process at the time? And can’t process now either?
The intense waves of negativity force their biology into defense mode, a chronic chaos over which they desperately attempt to exert control. And round and round it goes …
In today’s video, I explore this concept and share how we can safely guide our clients out of these heavy emotions and begin to take a different perspective altogether.
Our goal with this Conscious EFT™ approach is to help them do three things:
- Get their vessel, their biological nervous system, to safety NOW. Discover what it actually means to feel safe in their vessel.
- Then, from this place of safety, practice riding waves that are just at the edge of their nervous system’s capacity to ride gently.
- Slowly introduce them to slightly more intense waves, help them practice riding those greater waves with pleasure and curiosity. Support their learning about how to live a meaningful and satisfying life in a more elegant vessel than they have ever owned!
EFT/tapping and the empowerment framework called Conscious EFT that NeftTi has developed over 25 years offers a safe and effective way to support clients in achieving these 3 goals.
